When the car spins in place on ice or deep snow, these chains strap around the tire without a jack and give it something to bite with. They are made to get you moving again and to a cleared road, not for long drives. Key features • Set of 4 chains • Manganese steel • Fits tire widths from 165 to 265 mm • Installs without a jack • In the box: 4 chains, 1 pair of gloves, 1 hook Good to know • Check your tire width on the sidewall (the first number, like 225/65R17) before ordering • For temporary use on ice, snow, mud or sand: drive slowly and remove them on dry pavement • Check that your vehicle maker allows chains and leaves enough wheel-well clearance • Some states and parks have their own chain rules • Packed weight is about 8.8 lb
