How to choose a dash cam

Front only, front and rear, or 3 channels?
A front camera covers most collisions. Add a rear camera if you are often rear-ended in traffic. Pick 3 channels (front, cabin and rear) if you carry passengers, drive for Uber or Lyft, or want a record of what happens inside the car.
2K or 4K?
Resolution decides whether you can read a license plate. 2K is a good balance of detail and file size; 4K keeps more detail at a distance but fills the memory card faster.
Which memory card?
Use a Class 10, U3 card in the size your camera supports. The camera records in a loop and overwrites the oldest clips, while clips locked by the impact sensor are kept.
WiFi and GPS
WiFi lets you watch and save clips from your phone without removing the card. GPS adds speed and location to each clip, useful when you need to prove where and how fast you were driving.
